You should however use Imported Graphic if you want to replace only one or a few referenced graphics by their copy.
After correct installation, the system loads Adapt Imported Graphics automatically when you start FrameMaker.Now, the Adapt Imported Graphics item is activated in the FINALYSER menu in FrameMaker’s menu bar.
You use the plug-in Adapt Imported Graphics as follows:
1. Activate the document file (book file or document file) that you want to edit.
2. In the FINALYSER menu choose the item Adapt Imported Graphics.
3. Decide whether you want the system to prompt you or not.
4. After this, the plug-in searches in the document or book for referenced graphics. If you chose the with prompt option, you can decide whether you
want to keep this graphic referenced or if you want it to be copied into the document.Otherwise the system replaces all the referenced graphics with copies. To cancel the Find/Change procedure:
• Option Do not prompt : press the ESCAPE-key.
• Option prompt: Confirm the prompting dialog with No. You have now one
second to press the ESCAPE key
5. When Adapt Imported Graphics is finished the system displays the message! . The procedure is logged in the FrameMaker console.
For incorrect graphics, the program issues an appropriate message in the FrameMaker Console. No additional error message with a special error number will be generated for missing graphics.
The system restores groups consisting of at least three objects.
